AAAAAHHHHHH. I am so excited right now! So many things are happening. For one, I’m nearly done with Snowed In self-edits and there are some BIG changes. Namely, I switched the tense of the book from present to past.
I also took the early reviews and comments to heart and have beefed up the later chapters and replaced all the sections that were way too telling with scenes that instead showed the reader what was happening.
So for everyone who took the time to read the early installments and commented, reviewed, or sent me emails with feedback, I really appreciate you! Big shout-out to Angela, Sarah, Casey, Katie, Eric, and Gretel.
With self-edits drawing to a close, my deadline with my editor is fast approaching (September 1st). I am both excited and so, so nervous. Snowed In will be the first book I publish and I want to get it right. Thankfully, I’ll be working with a pro (she edits for multiple NYT best selling authors, to include two of my idols: Ilona Andrews and Courtney Milan).
On top of selling it in ebook format, I wanted to offer a paperback option. So that meant I needed to design a new cover. I could easily have found a talented cover artist for this, but I’m something of a self-taught Photoshop wizard and decided instead to give it a go myself.
So without further ado, here they are!

I am really happy with how this turned out. I had a much more complicated second option, with the couple in the above cover photoshopped above a snow covered treeline, and while I liked it, I prefer this simpler, uncluttered version better.
How do you like this cover compared to the one I used for the serial format?

I’m so excited that you are publishing it! I’m looking forward to buying it and reading the changes. Well done!
Thank you so much! I am beyond excited!
