Hello, all! I’m here with an update on Snowed In.
The big news is that I finished my self-edits and the manuscript is off to my editor. Work will begin on it in October. As this is the first book I plan to publish on all major platforms, it’s getting some serious editing attention. I’m lucky enough to be working with a team that edits for multiple New York Times Bestselling authors (to include one of my all-time favorites, Ilona Andrews!).
There will be multiple rounds of edits and I don’t want to rush this process. What does that mean? Well, to put it simply, I had initially hoped to hit the publish button in time for the winter romance rush that starts around the beginning of November, but I think I’ll end up pushing it to the same time, next year.
For those of you who don’t want to wait that long, I’ve added a downloadable version of my self-edited manuscript on Patreon at the $1 subscription tier. That means for $1 (you can subscribe for one month, download the book, and cancel your subscription afterward if you don’t want to remain a patron) you’ll be able to get an advance look at a book that I plan to charge $4.99 for once it’s published.
And for anyone worried that self-edited means typos and plot holes, let me tell you that I’ve read and re-read this work a half a million times. If a typo remains, I’ll be shocked. SHOCKED. As for the plot holes. I had a lot of early readers for Snowed In on Wattpad, this site, and through my trusty group of betas. I took ALL of the feedback into account and made some serious changes to this story. Including turning the entire thing from present to past tense.
So yeah, a lot of work has gone into this.
If you’d like to read an advanced copy of Snowed In a full year before its official release, head on over to my Patreon post.
And to those of you who read the free-to-read version and provided so much wonderful, thoughtful, and constructive feedback, thank you! There might be a surprise waiting for you in the forward.
