I know readers sometimes like a bit of a soundtrack to either set the mood for their read or just because they’re curious about the music that inspired the author. For me, Scandal has only one song, or really, one movement, on its playlist: Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7, A Major, Op. 92, Allegretto.
It is forever in the background as I write, whether coming through my computer’s speakers, or playing only in my mind. It’s the song Lady Jane Hartford plays on the piano that first moves Katherine to realize that she wants more from her life, that she can have more, if only she’s brave enough to reach out and take it for herself.
