I know I haven’t posted on here in a while, and that’s mostly due to Snowed In self edits (kill me now) and a busy summer schedule (my entire family has visited, we put a new roof on part of the house & barn, and are considering letting a neighbor field one of their herds in our northern patsture – did I mention I live on a 200+ year old farm?).
I’ve also been stealth working on a new novel, The Lunatics, which is a paranormal romance that centers around a pack of werewolves in Boston.
I’ve been posting my serialized fiction here on the site since 2014. In that time, they have all been free-to-read. With this novel, I’m switching it up. Site fees, cover art, and formal editing don’t come cheap. I’ve basically been operating at a loss.
So I plan to publish The Lunatics to my Patreon page, with new chapters available every Friday. Subscribers will be able to follow along.
As with the rest of my novels, I created the cover art for this myself, and I am beyond thrilled with the finished result:

Book Blurb
Layla Fitzpatrick lives a simple life, for a werewolf. And that’s just how she likes it. Her childhood was less than ideal. She’d like to spend her adult years flying under the radar of more powerful preternatural creatures. Because she knows from experience what happens when they notice you.
Everything changes one early summer night when she attends a ritual bonding ceremony meant to join two werewolves together for life. Midway through, the spell becomes corrupted and she finds herself unexpectedly mated to the most stuffy shifter she’s ever laid eyes on.
Michael Kolbeck is more man than wolf. He spends his days in a sky rise, building his family’s empire. At night, he prowls the streets of Boston, a city where shifters, witches, and vampires walk a delicate tightrope of ceasefire masquerading as peace.
Little do they know that Layla’s arrival will act as the spark that ignites the fire, and that thin veneer of peace is about to vanish.
