Hi, everyone! So I originally put up the paywall through my Patreon because I was having issues with my work cropping up in places I didn’t post it.
Piracy sucks, and I’m sure all authors fall victim to it at one point or another, but the sheer volume of it was slightly staggering at first, and my knee-jerk reaction was to throw the paywall up and limit access to my site.
While I sent vaguely threatening emails about copyright infringement, I also looked into bumping up my site security so my work is ripped off less often. Because, let’s face it, I’m not an IT expert, and the really determined pirates with legit computer know-how are hard to fully block.
Anyway, the emails worked, most of my stolen writing has come down, and now I feel safe(ish) to remove the paywall I put in place.
All the chapters will return to their free-to-read state and will stay that way for the foreseeable future (barring another swashbuckling nightmare, of course).
Keep in mind that these will be the quasi-finished chapters of each of my works. To read the edited books in their entirety, they’ll need to be purchased online. But good news there: Kindle Unlimited subscribers will get to read the books for free too!
